The Post Office has 9.5x12.5 inch padded Flat Rate plastic envelopes that mail for $5.95, but you cannot get them at the post office. You have to go to the USPS online store, set up a free account, and order them. They are great for bulky, non-fragile items. Our friends just sent us some candy bags in a Flat Rate box for $12.95 that could have gone for $5.95. They are free and the shipping is free.

Just FYI the last time I got some of the padded priority mailers they came really quick but in the past I've waited between 6-8 weeks to get them. Also the web site at times has limited orders to 5 per order.

Mahalo, I just order them. They are staying up to 12 days now. We'll see. I bet them come too late to mail out Christmas gifts. Darn!

You can order more than that; on the page where you select the product (link below), there is a drop-down menu beneath each item. You can select individual (1-5) or packs of 10 or 15 envelopes. And I think you can order multiples of the packs, as well.

I prefer to buy the
prepaid (and larger) legal size envelopes at $5.75 each. No waiting in line at the post office, just pop it into a mailbox. I ordered these last week and it only took 4 days to arrive.

Yes. Last time I ordered I got 45 and received them in about a week. At times in the past, the web site has limited orders to 5 per order and some of those times it took around 2 months to get them.
