It might have been one of these C-130:

Nothing mysterious about them except they are used for covert ops. The C-130 can land on very short runways, unless they are carrying a lot of cargo. Pohakuloa runway is about 3600 feet, probably too short for cargo landings and takeoffs, needing over 5000 feet. That is why there are occasional notices of traffic movement from Pohakuloa, the Army uses Hilo airport for cargo hauls.
Also, it isn't unusual to see other military aircraft on and over this island. I have seen a B-1 at the Kona airport. That is nothing compared to Honolulu airport, that airport is bubbling with C-5's, which make the C-130 look small.
The government has lots of "black" projects. Just like with the SR-71 and F-114, the government denies it has such aircraft until just before they are revealed or in the case of the SR-71, revealed just before it was phased out, replaced with what? And that is the question. There have been mysterious triangle aircraft appearing over Kansas and Texas over the past few weeks and aviation experts have ruled they aren't B-2's. There have been rumors about different triangle aircraft being worked on like Aurora and TR3B. These prototypes may be reaching operational testing. This one looks a lot like the A-12 which was supposed to have been canceled.

The Black Budget was denied for many years, and was only revealed by some accounting report errors made by the George W. Bush admin that showed about $40B allocated. There are no line items for this budget and the Congress approves it every year without accountability. The X-37B has been in orbit for almost 2 years without one word about its mission, although some suspect it is an evaluation for Hammer of Thor.

"Black", covert op's is what we are taking about here
It wasn't one of those because it was a jet, and also no visible markings, which are seen on the aircraft in your link.
As far as seeing a lot of military aircraft over the bi , believe me I am well aware of that reality.
An interesting event took place over Arizona, (triangle aircraft) in 1987 , dubbed "The Phoneix Lights" and was reported locally , but not in the main msm until 3 month's later - then it came out in several papers on the same day. Peter Jennings did a show on it called "Seeing is Believing".
