Mango and advocado trees

I bought two Avos from that vendor at the Makuu market. Both were about 12" tall last year. 18 months later, they are 6 feet tall and the sharwill has a few tiny avos on it. They are planted in dirt, maybe that makes a difference. I also fertilize them. Only bad thing is slugs love avo leaves, you need to be vigilant about that.
