thanks for the welcome, damon. will look for the spigots maybe tomorrow. lots to look at and see.

actually, we only drink the catchment when it's used for coffee. don't know if it actually gets up to the boiling point to kill anything? but, haven't suffered any YET. i have boiled it to make tea and/or chai, too. everything else is bottled.

gotta go online to verify our filtration/purification system as the previous owner didn't leave much info for us. as far as the britta, we used it in our kailua home.
