Some are surmising the Hualalai parrots may just have relocated. Here's a pretty good take on the variety of "wild" parrots, etc. observed around the island:

Link from PaulW "Sulphar Crested Cockatoo" is a ringer for both birds. I believe our neighbors on the mauka side of 13th HPP have/had one/two of these "Vocal" birds for a few years and in the last two weeks the squawks have lessened. As nortonh has described these two birds are in our area and will sometimes roost near dusk in our trees within 50 yards of our lanai and then at low light take flight and return to the area where our neighbor kept similar(?) birds.
