If you are in Puna - you will deal with Dogs.
The Monks of New Skeet have an excellent book on dog behavior out - it is one of the industry standards, may provide some tools to deal with these many dog posts. - a good read nonetheless
Knowing some techniques may not hurt in day to day Puna dog interaction, may save a bite. (dogs bite out of fear - rule 1)
There seem to be many psychologically damaged dogs about (spending their lives on chains)they are ignored and not socialized - phycologicaly damaged. Your best defense a good understanding, well trained dominant dog at your side or a golf club.....
There are just too many un socialized creatures on island lately
Now if the good monks were to do a behavior book on people, these same dog owners are raising kids - my main concern.... ............... see you in obedience school
