How about WKP where dressed women would chase that impudent rooster , pluck those shiny feathers to expose him for who he really is - a cock ?

On a serious note.
My friend lost her only son to a cult.Bright student of one of the best Universities, normal boy with no "issues".He loved life, science ,his friends and family. He lost interest in studies, acted like a stranger to his family and friends and became almost like a zombie .His mother was determined to save him but they both died in a tragic car accident. The word "brainwashed" , abused by media is often taken too casually. For those who compare brainwashing by a cult to a time share sales (joke or not) -remember the victims of Heaven's Gate -39 dead bodies, all dressed in black. When men agree to voluntary castration- that is how deep brainwashing can go. Until we get the exact scientific proof of brainwashing a lot of cults will remain legal. I don't know if MKP is a cult or not but if it is I hope that chickens will be the only victims there. _______________________ Whatever you assume, please just ask a question first.

StillHope,
Here's a link re. Edward Bernaise, father of modern propaganda/brainwashing. Ask an NLP practitioner about the science of brainwashing. Speaking of which, are there any certified NLP practitioners out here? Great stuff. Back in the day I had a couple of sessions with the guys who developed it. Miraculous. Here's the piece by Mr. Bernaise <http://www.historyisaweapon.com/defcon1/bernprop.html> "...This is the main manual of the public relations industry. Bernays is kind of the guru. He was an authentic Roosevelt/Kennedy liberal. He also engineered the public relations effort behind the U.S.-backed coup which overthrew the democratic government of Guatemala. His major coup, the one that really propelled him into fame in the late 1920s, was getting women to smoke. Women didn't smoke in those days and he ran huge campaigns for Chesterfield. You know all the techniques—models and movie stars with cigarettes coming out of their mouths and that kind of thing. He got enormous praise for that. So he became a leading figure of the industry, and his book was the real manual. —Noam Chomsky (From Chomsky's "What Makes Mainstream Media Mainstream": a talk at Z Media Institute, June 1997)" Aloha, Lee http://members.cruzio.com/~lionel/event

quote: I worked as a secretary back in the day for a guy who did NLP seminars for real estate company sales people. it is a quite interesting thing to watch happen. Any really good sales person is doing something most of us dont do no matter what it is called now - and that is listen. Every day there is a new "paradigm" teaching us how to interact. The great salesperson really listens. They listen for cues to what makes us tick. They use that to make us feel comfortable in choosing [an item - property, shoes, a stereo system...]. The great ones dont instinctively know but they listen and really look at a person to see what might tickle their fancy. Then they basically but more sophisticated repeat back what we "need" using the verbage our cues give them. Good law enforcement interrogators use it. MKP must have originally spoken to a need that someone originally listened to. Then it became a want of others who saw it become popular. But thats a whole 'nother social phenomenon - rise to popularity. We have had Esalen, and Scientogologists, and Catholics, Buddhists, etc, and NLP, et etc etc and any number of other modality that helps When it is all really simple - this is taken from a woman's celebration of life that friends knew who died last week: http://www.ocregister.com/news/allie-291...isley.html From one of her friends: I want to share with you some important life lessons she modeled for me: * Open your heart wide and let life in unconditionally * There is enough love for everyone so share it freely and often * Believe in yourself and the people you love and give them your best * Have hope, no matter what * Know you have a purpose, find it and do it * You are stronger than you think * Be genuine and kind and cultivate a generous spirit * Laugh, always laugh, and enjoy the moment * Believe, anything is possible No beating chickens necessary. Feel free to use my paypal acct for the two cents this is worth.

I'll say it again:
I would prefer it if people would spend more time and energy discussing issues and less time and energy discussing and dissing each other. Assume the best and ask questions. Punaweb moderator
