If you work for (or did) a large company, they may offer employee discounts with shippers. Mine gets me a 25% discount from standard FedEx rates, but only if I fill out using the on-line forms and take it to a FedEx drop off point. It makes the normal rates somewhat palatable.

Royall we buy and sell stuff on Craigslist all the time and have never had a problem. If you are worried about sketchy people showing up, offer only to meet them at a public landmark to complete the transaction and tell them you accept cash only. We have very rarely been stood up and the only problem we have encountered is when we put "text or email only" in the ad and people call instead.

Thanks for the input terracor, I did list on Craigs list this afternoon. I checked the measurements and its too big to fit into a flat rate box... Just one of the problems of trying to sell on eBay when you live in the middle of the ocean.. I'll just keep my fingers crossed for a quick sale!!

And once you sell it you're going to need it! (Kidding, but sometimes
true!)
Have you called any electricians or plumbers for interest in your drill? Just leave message on their voicemail and it might work.
