More affluent people moving to Puna?
#51
Rob sure put it into perspective! It is like the McMansions I seem to loath. They are covering the most prime farm lands around here, and seem to be in breeding mode. I don't resent people having them so much as I am just agast at the conspicuous consumption they represent to me. How much is ever enough, this isn't the road to happiness, in my opinion it signifies, feeds and drives the rat race that many people are trying to leave behind.

Guess it is my long lost hippie days showing on me, I mean look at the world and see how we are rich beyond most of the worlds wildest dreams and it still isn't enough for many. Sorry way off topic but on my mind.

I guess there are two ways we can all have more money. We can earn more or just desire less. I bet most people who were told they only had 10 minutes to evacuate their homes before it went up in flames or was completely destroyed would not take things that they "just had to have" but things that meant something to them that money could not buy
