Free checking - no strings attached ?

I also use BOH and like it. With Bankohana feature, there is no fee for checkwriting. I don't use their bill payment so I don't remember if it's free or not. Same as David M., I pay all my bills online, i.e, credit cards, insurance, etc. by logging into their websites. Electricity, phone bill, etc., they automatically withdraw monthly from my bank account.

I still keep my mainland bank accounts for fund transfers.

Than you,braddah and Iju.

Iju,I am not planning to have bankohana account. So for paying a credit card will cot me $ 5.99.
But since I actually going to use the mainland bank for this.everything else in BOH is looking good.

Pretty much what Iju said. For example, if paying Amex or Chase, I do so from their site. I have my my CU account info available on site and just chose them for the payment. I also have a mainland account listed so if needed I can pay with that account instead of transferring to CU first. Others, like The Gas Co have automatic withdrawal. Additionally, somethings, like my cell account are linked to my Amex account, so paying Amex actually pays off several actuals.

Thank you,David.
I thought BOH is charging even if you pay from a credit card site.

Big Island Federal Credit Union in the Shipman industrial center is no longer just for teachers. They are good.
