nope. didn't feel it up here on the hill. lots of rain, wind and very chilly, though. brrr! don't know why i didn't feel it? learned just a short time later that renee and the dogs felt it upstairs.

Aloha here in MT.View it was a good jerk lasting 3-4 seconds. I reported it. Also California had one about 10 min earlier.

Noticeable thump near the bottom of Makuu.
Got this email from Civil Defense:

Event: 12739

Message: The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reports a 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred at 6:30PM HST. The epicenter was located on land in Hamakua District. Please be advised that no tsunami has been generated. Repeat, no tsunami has been generated. Thank you. This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense.

Currently reported at magnitude 4.5 and underneath Mauna Kea. It screwed up our telescope for a while. I felt it at Kaloli Point but just a quick "whump" lasting a second or so.

I was in Waimea and standing outside a car at Parker Center. I felt the ground move a little, wondered if it was a quake, and dismissed it as my imagination because no one around me reacted.
