Good to see this initiative includes several actions for being more efficient and smarter in the way we use energy.
An important opportunity not identified is in the section on streetlights and traffic signals: there is zero mention of the considerable electricity savings to be realized with roundabouts as compared to traffic signals.
These two are but a sample of the many sources that document the advantages of roundabouts, including reduced electricity usage (as well as reduced fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by vehicles):

I have been having trouble finding examples of multilane roundabouts.I did find one example.

Perhaps someone could explain how a car could exit HPP during the morning rush and travel toward Pahoa.Cars entering a roundabout yield to the cars already in the roundabout.Since the traffic is bumper to bumper there is no break in traffic to allow a car to enter the roundabout.
