To heap onto the "good reviews" pile, a co-worker ate there yesterday and LOVED IT.

Okay, I just picked up dinner on the way home...pulled pork w/Texas toast and coleslaw (which I like less sweet - it was yummy). This place rates another visit I'm thinking...the BBQ sauce was really yummy on the pulled pork. Thanks you guys!

ESP in the state with the highest prices!!! Get real or get lost! Next he wants u to work a day for free with no pay before offering you the $7.25! Someone please tell this hick go back to Georgia!

When I was a line cook, I got paid minimum wage too. But I also ate for free and got to take a lot of food home with me. I was at a place in my life where working for such a low wage was OK for me, and I have no regrets. I'm glad that he is able to bring a few jobs to a place that desperately need them.

Ok but most people in Hawaii can't live on min wage. We have the highest prices in the nation so it's only right to offer adequate pay. Line cooks on the mainland all make in excess of $10/hr.

Highest price in the nation of what? Our mortgage was cut by 2/3rds when we moved here. Food is MUCH cheaper here than what we are used to paying.

People in our old, more expensive town worked for minimum wage all the time!

I too am glad to see new jobs being created here. I know folks that would take a minimum wage job over no job or a job they have to travel into Hilo to work at any day.

Yes, let's demonize a local job creator because our government sets the minimum wage below the local cost of living. That'll teach 'em!

It's okay to have an opinion for sure...my issue comes when someone says "go back to where you came from" kinda thing. We all live here for better or worse...that's so bigoted to tell someone they are not welcome here...there's plenty of things happening that are worse than minimum wage...believe me on this one. Hope you have a really nice Aloha Friday.

This place won't last long. It's a run down dump on the side of the highway. If the owner were truly good he would choose a better location and pay the chef more then min wage, what a joke!

Missing the point. No chef for any restaurant gets paid $7.25/hr. unless you're working at McDonald's. Says a lot about the quality of the food. You get what you pay for.
