I think my point was clear, Frank.

Blame the paid staff acting as directed by the Board.

The Board needs to take responsibility for their actions.

Almost all of the paid staff could go to management company and be considered excellent employees.

i've yet to read where staff was blamed by anyone for anything...the board needs to evaluate the cost against benefit within the hppoa organization...it may very well be true that the present situation, with the staff that is presently employed by hppoa (in all areas) is the most bang for our buck. should an evaluation show that a management company is the better value, so be it. no blame, finger pointing, or hard feelings...at that point a decision needs to be made which carries the best interest of the owners of property within hpp

to shout "blame the employees" at the suggestion of an evaluation is...premature...imho

A management company is going to want a profit

And a professional corporate board would be more efficient but the danger is that since there are a few developers holding a bunch of lots/votes/shares (at least one with 100+) that they could just take over.

HPP should just incorporate into a town and be done with it.

Same for most other subdivisions.

There are no towns in Hawaii.

Letting people have some say over their lives would conflict with the state's centralized sudo socialist mentality
