Cindyben, where do your kids go to school? The options here are limited and if they go to public schools (and probably private too) they will be exposed to all of this type of stuff in school here. Unless you homeschool and really isolate your family- think no internet- then you cannot avoid it. There's lots of scrapping and drugs in the schools. I am not sure it is any different in other parts of the country and it may be that it is "all just hidden under a thin veneer of civility". I won't advise you how to parent- and you will find your own road on how to deal with it- but unfortunately, you will be dealing with it at some point.

Does anyone know what kind of fee you have to pay to be a vendor at this market?

All people need to keep their mouth shut and locals as well, this is the best Aloha we have seen for many years, old time party, Just good fun, if you assholes keep it up it will be gone, shut your flytrap? It's not commercial it's allowing our people to do what we do, Have a little respect for the old ways? kiss my ass if you think different! If you wanted to describe what a great event Wednesday night at Uncle Robert's is, you might have just left well enough alone with the above comments. Everything else you added pretty much describes the negative types of behavior people mentioned as reasons they stay away from the event.
