The rain gauge at our farm in upper puna measured 14.2 inches in 24 hours.
Many spots on this side in what are called banana belts,or far less rain than just one mile away.
We went hilo today,traffic was at a crawl,could not see 50 feet in front of us.Rain so heavy even the ponding on Hywy 11 could not run off fast enough .Got to Kea'au and no rain at all,wet as wet can be,just passing rain squalls.
I remember in the 1960s when this would happen for 5 months straight .

I love the Ua , keeps all green n growing .

The water haulers though,not so happy.Tomorrow may be sunny though an just remember,always sunny above the clouds .

29th and Paradise has gotten some crazy rains. Driveway was a river a few times.

My DirecTV hasn't worked since yesterday. No signal at all. Anyone else having problems?

My Dish sat has had some "rain fade" but is working.... Maybe the dish got pushed out of alignment??
