Something I need to say here: I'm hard on Tiffany because I think she has so much she could offer, if she would mature and get past the ego trip, learn to listen to people who can help her (she won't even change a font that people can't read), learn to work with people, get clear on boundaries, privacy, ethics.
She has the education, literate qualities (for the most part), the past involvement in many community issues and projects. She has all sorts of information in her brain and at her disposal. She has connections. She has people who take her calls. She is family oriented. She knows the travails of a business owner. She knows media. She is personable, energetic, ambitious, motivated.
There's so much Tiffany has going for her, but I think it is all for naught as long as she has people around her telling her she can do no wrong, and she believes them. She's also impetuous and headstrong, autocratic, moody, over-reaching, and over-reacting, and people like Ken and snorkle cheer her whatever she says or does.
I think the worst thing for Tiffany will be getting elected, because she'll take that as an affirmation that she is as good as she thinks she is. I think defeat would be a good reality check for her.
As for other candidates, I don't know them well enough to know if they have potential to be better than they are now, and I'm not concerned with them. I know Tiffany, and I'd like to think she could change for the better -- but she must first believe that she needs to change. Too much approval is not always healthy for a person.

I agree Hitler is over used, although I am sure many petty megalomaniacs are flattered by the comparison.
From what I am reading here I think Richard Nixon is a better comparison. Enemies lists, profanity, Astrology, a cabal of "trusted" courtiers.

That said, Nixon was a dishonest SOB in the White House, and I would never compare Tiffany to him. Just your list made me laugh.

I get that, Jim, and it came up earlier as well, but wanted to give Sativa an opportunity to clarify because there could have been a misquote and RJ was referring to a real blog elsewhere. If the reference was to Punaweb, then it was pretty insulting to those that post here, most of whom seem quite intelligent to me. If the reference wasn't about Punaweb, and the default position should be that since this isn't a blog, then I wanted to know which blog was being referred to. I suspect we won't get an answer though.

Zendo may have decided not to run after his wife was dragged through the mud online and publicly insulted at a meeting. It is one thing to go after a politician, but families should be off limits. They didn't run, they aren't getting a public salary, and they should be left alone.

I did not hear about that, it would explain a lot. [details?] His enthusiasm did seem to just disappear. I give him credit for putting his family first, before Puna's potholes.

But it looks like we should all be aware and more careful with social media now that we see BIC is comfortable with this kind of tabloid reporting. IÕll be sure to pass that along to my wife who is already humbling herself from this.
For the record: This is the only time you will see this engagement and response from me, and I do this solely because you cross the line by coming at my wife in this way. Attacking my wife will only brew bad blood between us and keep real news away. It wonÕt ultimately hide the story that should be reported that I unlike you am doing my job properly and well and with respect, and I would not be as productive as I am without my wife. She has been involved in every one of my bills and projects and they are all pono and for the people.
