LOL... my neighbors live in an unpermitted structure so they are ratting me out. Okay makes sense.
No big deal. Not an issue, I'm still open frame and on par with IBC and land use regs.

We left reasonable vegetation boundaries where there were none on the other side of the boundary line and in fact the previous owner had dozed into our property and used it as a portion of their driveway until we arrived (no problems, no biggie). The first owner sold after being here for 30 years and needed to return home for family matters and age. A great neighbor. A year ago we ended up with these dictators in the previous owners place. Rude, obnoxious people, blasting music above 70db according to my decibel meter within our property, peeping through our bushes making rude and patently false accusations of which they alone stand guilty of. Etc. Bla Bla bla. In any case, now the individual is snapping off pictures through our bushes of us while demanding we not use that area of our property, etc. He seems to think he's on an evidence collection mission where I see the only evidence is of him violating our privacy.

Hmmmmm...

Mr. Tom has a good question: Renter or Owner? If renter, yes, contact Owner/Agent/Rep (in writing, too...sometimes they forget; Just saying.).

If Owner, lawyer is a good suggestion. One letter; stating the outcome should this behavior continue, given your rights. Cost around $200.00USD. (*Side note: I have a really good lawyer if you need help with this kind of nonsense. Sorry, O/T). Been there, and done that crap.

On the other hand, reading your posts in the past, taking the matters into your own hands, avoiding legal (and physical) confrontation, besides cookies and a reasonable discussion, send a registered letter (detailed) with your concerns and your approach to solution. Tenure must stand for something.

Good luck with these people. You're strong enough and smart enough to make the right decision.

JMO.

Thanks Opihikao,
I missed this post after getting derailed. We may take up that attorney offer. It's ashamed that our bamboo can't grow quicker. Anyhow, I initially tried all the sweet stuff, offered to help clear land with our backhoe for free, etc. Anyhow all the details are too draining to rehash. We're pretty much live at let live people, don't care about some random loud music now and then, dogs barking etc. But the continued verbal assaults, threats and demands are nonsense.

Gypsy69,

Have a Punaweb party... yeah. I think that might be nice. Then people here can meet the arrogant uneducated construction workerWink
There's a number of people I would like to meet from here, not sure if the feeling is mutual though.
BTW... I have a few drones sitting in our Iselle collapsed greenhouse corroding away. One radio helicopter had a 5' diameter rotor span. Those hobby days are gone but building an ultralight type vehicle is of interestWink I have too many projects to get finished as it is. House needs siding, solar tracker needs its slewing drives fitted and controls wired up and programmed. A backhoe that needs me to do the lower engine rebuild on it with a rebuilt head waiting to go back on it. On and on. If anyone here is good at diesel engine rebuilds and can help for beers and barbeque or? in return, let me know Smile

Pog,
Up front near the road we did. I still have one out. Not of any use for this situation though. We're on a 1000' X 150' parcel.

How else do we get people to comply with the rules, if we do not expose them? just follow the rules.

Perhaps people would have greater respect for "the rules" if County led by example.

LOL...Snorkle. We are down in Waa Waa. Luckily, our subdivision doesn't have the issues they have in HA.

As for the privacy issue with our one neighbor: He is insistent that we not be on a huge chunk of our property that is visible from his house. He is paranoid that we are staring at his house and that we are attempting to eavesdrop on their conversations. If he sees us working on our property, he makes inappropriate and/or rude comments. (We have several neighbors who have witnessed his odd behavior and heard his comments.) We are sympathetic to their desire for privacy, and have planted an additional barrier between our properties. After we planted this barrier, he installed a temporary partial fence that he looks over and around to look at us. He has demanded respect, when he has provided no reason for respect through his words and actions. At best we are hoping for our property barrier to provide relief from his apparent obsession with us. Last year after they moved in, we also paid to have the property line between us surveyed, since he insisted that 'eyeballing' it from the corner pin was sufficient for him to put in a small wire fence for their dogs where he assumed the property line to be. We asked them before we had the survey done if they wanted to mutually shoot the property line since we have the equipment, but they refused. They have also refused our offer of coming over for drinks and/or dinner.

Punalvr...another attempt at being the spoon...I fail to see how that makes you better than anyone else.

Years ago I told my next door neighbor "I heard someone in the bushes while I was out back taking a shower". He said " it was me!"
with a big grin on his face. He was a sweetheart. He died at home in his kitchen 5 years ago. Sure wish I heard him in the bushes again...sometimes I think I do. At times, I still think I hear his laugh too. Sometimes peepers are keepers... Sorry yours are not.
