Legislative leaders want to hear Punans' concerns

Inasmuch as The People continue to tolerate neglect by State and County, I am left to assume that this mistreatment is acceptable.

Perhaps the state operates under the maxim, less is more.
So yes! Give us more of less.

Yep, Big Isle still operating from a plantation mentality. The masses or shall I say descendants of migrant workers still subconsciously believe they are unworthy of competent government service and that affects us all.

I am kamaaina because I love it here and it took a lot of planning and preparation to live the Hawaii life. As such, the list of benefits is much longer than the list of any major concern. The reality around here is tourists above kamaaina. It's just all part of the self regulation this island has developed to keep growth and population increase very low.

Probably the highest priority is trying to stop invasive introduction. The inspection people really deserve praise for having kept out so many nasty invasive species like spiders and snakes, all kinds of bugs although coffee borer and rhinoceros beetle may get a foothold. All these invasive species are coming over in potted plants. It is this insatiable desire to get different plants that is bringing over all these nasty insects and fungus. Make introduction of new plant types go through strict inspection. Trying to restore the forests and other ecosystems should be a number one priority for the state.
