Yes LD, Jeff changed his registration too, both of them in November 2008.  His HO exemption was on the HA house at that time and stayed there until 2011.  He took it off then because they "learned", after being notified, that they could only have one as a married couple, and switched it to the Hilo house.

Jeff is the sole owner of both the HA house and the surf shop building, and he is joint owner of the Hilo house.

"After reading and hearing my own friends’ accounts I decide to go check for my name on the poll book at my polling place. I drove down Highway 130, at first heading toward the Pahoa Community Center. Then I flashed on the fact that that is now in Council District 5.
I flashed on Keonepoko Elementary School, and told myself to check there first. Sure enough, I found myself listed in the poll book, with “AB” next to my name. That means absentee ballot."

Why would she drive down Highway 130 to go to the Pahoa Community Center if she lives at the Surf Shop?

Read it carefully. She heads down Hwy 130, AT FIRST heading toward the Pahoa Community Center, but before she gets there, she remembers Keonepoko Elementary, and goes there. She never gets to PCC, because she turns off Hwy 130 onto Kahakai before she gets to Pahoa Village -- that only works coming from Hawaiian Acres.

After 10 months of being "tethered" to the Cortez murder trial, I was just released (Jury duty). This case involved 2 victims, both deceased.
The 2nd , supposedly a witness to the first crime was allegedly killed to silence testimony.

Apparently, some other witnesses in the trial were unwilling to testify. A new trial date(for 1 murder now instead of 2 ) has been reset for May 3rd.

Violation of the code of journalistic integrity ? Washington connection? Don't know, maybe we'll have to wait for the completion of the trial.

which direction she was driving from to vote on that day is not at all an indicator of where she was living, especially by legal standards - but this is an abrasive woman so I am not surprised she is facing this issue and they obviously lived/live in Hawaiian Acres, sort of surprised DeLima stated in court they lived at the surf shop, he is more than well enough connected to the community to know that is not the case
