Alternative facts.

"An average of 1,000 visitors a day watch the sunrise on the Haleakala summit, that is 365,000 a year. The 365,000 sunrise visitors a year is only 16% of the over 2 million visitors to the Haleakala summit.
The soon to be Millions of visitors a year to Mauna Kea's Summit may cause significant impacts and changes to an already sensitive or critical area. These possible impacts were Conveniently not mentioned or covered in the EIS report for the TMT project, WHY?.
"

Because an EIS deals with facts and evidence, and not made up numbers pulled out of thin air.

Some of the questions which Brannon Kamahana Kealoha posed to Günter Hasinger, director of the University of Hawai`i’s Institute for Astronomy are presented.

Questions asked by Mehana Kihoi, Clarence M. Kaho`okahi Kanuha, Cindy Freitas and William Freitas by other witnesses are also listed.

I have been there twice for the sunrise - and both times, I think the "crowd" was less than 50. I could not imagine 1,000 people there.

I have no reason to doubt the numbers since it seems to be due to a recent increase, but comparing Haleakala to Mauna Kea is comparing apples to oranges. Haleakala's summit area is around 10,000 feet, much lower than Mauna Kea, and is easy to drive to in a regular rental car with no difficult dirt road to negotiate.

Was Harry Fergerstrom arrested for hijacking a plane in 1965?

A big yup on that.
And want to remain ignorant.
What I get from these hearings is that ignorance is more valued than knowledge and understanding.

"Was Harry Fergerstrom arrested for hijacking a plane in 1965?"

A "Harry F Fergerstrom" was arrested and convicted of interference with a flight crewmember on a Hawaiian Airlines flight in 1965 (not hijacking, but apparently a knife and broken bottle were used as weapons) and sentenced to a juvenile correction facility.

However, I have no idea if it's the same Harry Fergerstrom in the contested case hearing and I'm not sure it's actually that relevant.

Translation: "How is it a 'benefit' when I'm not getting paid?"

Meanwile, TIO has "deferred" their sublease payments:
