So this doesn't answer my question, why fly it at 11:46 at night?
It was in our back yard, very close to the property line. I could see it very easily.

quote:Sorry 8F, the answer can only come from the drone flyer. He did say it was fun watching it fly at night. If you recall when we were in our 20's, we were active in the late evenings. This is what 8F started this thread with: What are the laws regarding flying drones in a neighborhood? Been doing it most of the day today and also 8pm tonight for a few minutes. This was the corner of D and K streets. It's not really loud but it's kind of annoying after a awhile. This "annoyance" has morphed into something sinister... There's nothing sinister going on here on Kaloli Pt is all I'm saying. Let's educate ourselves on the topic since this obviously can be a new problem arising in neighborhoods. NW should also educate themselves on the topic. I did send the link to the NW administrator as well.

Because a "leader" of the HPP association says so. You know they are always right.

quote:The question is why some people automatically think drone activity is sinister? Drones fly therefore are visible to many. Doesn't automatically mean the operator is up to no good.

why some people automatically think drone activity is sinister?
Invasion of privacy?

This is a grey area obviously. Where does one draw the line w/a thing like a drone? What are the regulations on this? I'm not defending this activity. I thought we were in discussion SW! Should all drones be forbidden in neighborhoods except for business activities? These are questions that need answers instead of making assumptions or starting a witch hunt. If there aren't any regulations yet then there's nothing legally to be done for the time being, right? |
