They probably ran out of fuel. If they pumped some diesel at the Orchidland gas station with the $3.27 they had in their pocket, they'd only have managed another 2 miles down the road anyway. Probably saved the money for chips.

The police have been doing a pretty good job of ignoring reports of theft from the public they swore to protect, they may have a more difficult time ignoring reports of theft from other segments of county government.

my favorite is still the stolen giant crane. wonder how you hotwire a crane? these odd steals beg more credence to this being some sort of game with the thieves that rumor says 300 cars...and at the end a police car..
