I can't believe that after YEARS, and after he has moved to the mainland you guys still play with the troll...

What would best serve Native Hawaiians is to be comfortable and functional in the modern world. The protesters are obviously neither. The silent majority of Native Hawaiians are like abused spouses.

The inevitable TMT CDUP appeal was electronically filed with the Hawaii Supreme Court last night at 9:50pm

From MarkP Oct. 30: "At this point, arrests occurring would be a refreshing sign that sanity is prevailing."

You mean more arrests than is already occurring? OK. (There were 3 arrests Oct. 27.)

I think MarkP is suggesting that it's somewhat encouraging that laws are being upheld no matter who or what you are.

Micheal Lee an Hawaiian astronomer, shares his genealogy which is very impressive to say the least.

Here is some of Kumu Mr Lee's Manao about the TMT and the continued protection of Mauna Kea.

It may have been Mike Lee who placed bones from an ancestor in an Ahu built in 2015 on the road to the TMT site.

Mike Lee may know something about the fresh water sources of the big Island which makes me wonder what he has to say about this recently discovered water between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.

http://hilo.hawaii.edu/news/stories/2015...esh-water/

Who does this water source belong to?
Should the military or TMT be able to control or use this water discovery?

This is an interesting video as well.

I was referring to recent arrests. Perhaps I should have said "are" instead of "would be". I was attempting to point out that since so many of the protesters have proudly declared themselves to be prisoners of emotion and immune to reason it is inevitable that any rational response to them going forward must involve arresting them. The absence of said arrests so far has been extremely troubling.

Good ol' Mike Lee the "star priest" who teaches basic math

Since April, protectors of Mauna Kea have embodied Kapu Aloha, an ancient practice inspired by our kupuna, using compassion and Aloha with great intention as a response to the construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT). June 24, hundreds gathered at Mauna Kea to block the passage of TMT construction trucks. Hawaiian chants and prayers filled the misty air and the protectors stood strong for the sacred mountain. 31 people were arrested, and in many ways, it was beautiful.

Ah yes, "Kapu Aloha" that ancient concept invented in 2015, mangled by a newly "anointed Kahuna" twenty something to mean peaceful protests.

31 arrests were beautiful, because there were no consequences and many clueless social warriors united.

gypsy,
Before you posted the links to Mike Lee did you engage in your game of 20 questions with him, in an attempt to find out whether his comments have any validity? Or do you only ask questions to those of us on Punaweb? Perhaps you could contact Mike Lee, and then get back to the rest of us. Here are a few sample questions:

* How old is ancient?
* How long have you been a kahuna?
* Is it bigger than a breadbox?

Thanks. Your language is fine. You don't comment as often as some of the other folks, and when I read your first statement I was unsure of your position.
