That is not a common way for a female to commit suicide. Suicide by car, hanging, and gun are more male methods. Exhaust, pills, and wrists are more female methods. Sounds sexist but there is science to back it up. I'd be looking at this more of a homicide.

However it happened, it's quite a tragedy for everyone involved. Narrow shoulders, 55 mph speed limit. Not a lot of time for a driver to react to a sudden movement, no matter what the cause. It doesn't take much of a movement to get you off the shoulder and into traffic there.
