Looks like the lava lake is draining down. Fair guess, if a vent opens up in the lower rift zone, the whole thing is gonna drop down and come out. Again, much like the Iki to Pahoa eruption of 1959-1960.

I wonder what the plan is to make up for the electrical generation provided by the geothermal plant if/when it is shuttered.
Seems that beyond the immediate danger to residents of the possible eruptions, losing that electricity will affect a great number of people. Cheers, Kirt

The summit lava lake level has lowered about 20 m (65 ft) since the deflationary tilt began in the early morning on May 1.
