All of the illegal squatters (formerly referred to as "activists" in some news reports, but now alas, only squatters) have been removed from the Coco Palms resort property. Along with their three dogs.

One or more of the dogs may or may not have eaten it.

"No word on the whereabouts of Schrodinger's Duck."

It's alive and well and still swimming at the Coco Palms in an alternative universe. It'll come back to our universe when no-one's looking at it.

LOL, great context!
Both Schrodinger's Duck (Cat).
I will miss Hawking by the way.
Indeed far removed from things in Hawaii.
And yet paradoxically so close.
In a parallel universe.
Of sorts.

Judge rules in favor of Coco Palms owners, and against unsubstantiated claims:

Absent from the day's proceedings, which lasted just over one minute, were Noa Mau-Espirito and Kamu "Charles" Hepa, who have been battling the development of the property.
They claimed ownership of the land through ancestral rights and planned to turn it into a cultural and religious center for the Kanaka Maoli.

Have I got this right? The protesters didn't turn up for the court hearing but will continue to file appeals?

Yes, they may have taken their cue from the potential endangered ducks, ducks which may or may not be nesting in the wetlands. Keep ‘em guessing.

HOPE's post
"If Hawaiian Homelands was built out, I could understand displaced, landless Hawaiians attempting land recovery efforts. But the Hawaiian Homelands are empty. Instead of Coco Palms, why not live in tents or traditional palm sheathed structures outside DHHL offices?"

Yes! Looking forward to viewing the documentary that will be released tomorrow.

No Coco Palms for the squatters either:

A Hawaii resort once beloved by celebrities like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra will soon be demolished.
The property was almost restored and reborn when in 2016 Honolulu developers hoped to reopen the resort under the Hyatt brand name. The deal eventually collapsed due to financial issues, and the future of the land remains unknown.

Your revolution is over, Mr. Lebowski. Condolences. The bums lost. My advice is to do what your parents did; get a job, sir. The bums will always lose. Do you hear me, Lebowski?*  - The Big Lebowski
