Driving license residency proof

"Drivers will also need to being two pieces of mail with their address listed, like a utility bill."

Sounds simple, doesn't it? I can assure you it isn't.
------------
This is true. All of my mail from utilities, etc. uses a mainland billing address - my name with accountants business address. I went thru hell trying to explain that, even though the service address is the house here.

Just got me new ID in November...missed it by 2 months and will now need to go back. All those items were presented when I got my ID in November...now guess I get to go back and do it again even though I already showed proof.

Unfortunately, there is no test needed for someone to post on social media, because there's no way you'd pass that test.

And how would you determine what's going on anyway? It's the dilemma of an Info Cop pulling over an erratic driver on the Information Superhighway, forced to figure out whether he had been attempting to mash a square one quart carton of pog into a round cup holder at 55 mph (inattentive posting), or is the pog heavily spiked with the cheapest generic alcohol labeled for human consumption, purchased from behind the counter at a Quikky Stop along with his $5.00 top up from the gas pump, creating a menace on the thread, not only under the influence, but also overly influenced by charletans with their glittery sparkling click bait. Look! Over there! Misleading conclusions! Sure, give me one! No, make that two or three! Which inevitably leads into the predictable and gratuitous road rage.

Weird thing is that the process is actually easier for me, at least proving I'm allowed to live here. Social security and green card were all that was needed. Proving your physical address is another matter and that applies to everyone who can't have mail addressed to their physical address, whether they were born here or not. Even if you have extensive documentation, as many people here have found out, much of it isn't valid if it wasn't issued within two months of renewing your license.

Does anybody know if it has to be something that was mailed to you? For example, would a FedEx envelope delivered to residence address work?

Here is the list of acceptable documents :

My deed paper work was rejected because it was copy of the paper work that was sent to county to be recorded. It had not been recorded and stamped yet.
I am now waiting to receive a new auto insurance card and I will be good to go.

It's odd that home or hurricane insurance isn't on that list yet the DMV accepted them as proof of my physical address (well, only the hurricane insurance). Maybe they count those as utilities?

Now you need to show proof of ears to get your drivers license. A Muslim woman in Hilo was asked to remove her head covering so the DMV could take her license photo. Question, do women or men with long hair have to move their hair aside to expose their ears? Or is this another case of a DMV employee making up rules as they go along?
