Mermaid, i will see u there and will sign up. Except i dont know u. I will be the guy with a ball cap with side flaps white. I just cked at hppoa office to see when they would scrape the road on 15th. Of coure she said i cant tell u but i can fill out a form,which we did. I said a guestimate ,6 months? I dont know.
Well where was it scraped last? 5 th she said. So more like 8 months? She said well u know we only have 4 guys and 2 of them mow u know?????
I said i will be filling my roads holes with base course,and probaly bill u for it.

dan d.....what district do you live in? Have you tried writing to your district rep and cc the whole board w/your concerns? That might be the better route to go if you don't feel that your road issues are being resolved through the GM and/or office.

It'll be interesting to see if Dist1 rep, our new president, will be chairing this membership mtg. It's his job as new president per our bylaws UNLESS the membership chooses a member to chair the mtg instead..

Went to the membership meeting last nite.
President was not there. They had a office person being head cop to police the rules. She started the first shouting match.
Interesting, they had day lum prop manager owner give a speal. She ran hpp for the county when they were in recievership 1998 - 2001. And it seems she did a good job with only 1 full time and 1 part time worker. They would take over all prosecuting of non paying lot owners ( now 1.7 million in write off mode) And hire a real road construction company
(Not by faulty equiptment) And fire the gm if they arent doin there work.
Than another shouting match from police lady.
Than the commitee on equitee road fee came up about 2.5 hours in. Then the shouting became screaming and i couldnt stand that,sorry mermaid. But I did sign up to help find new board members, to replace ones leaving(or being ousted) you would have to have a thick skin to be a board member,or an ass××××.
Sounds like any committee has to go thru the board even tho it may be initialized by the membership. And that seems to be the problem as the board micromanages every move,and thwarts them at every move,according to the committee reports.ie...not letting them meet in the library,not giving them acess to hppoa reccords, even not letting the halloween

If anyone here is interested in being a board member ,and represent there district, let us know. Work the system from within,if u can handle the bs and power play.

I attended. BillyB the photo rightly sums up the office lady and majority board. Jerks is right. dand ditto. You gotta have thick skin to be on that board if you're not in league with these arrogant idiots. One of their minions started a petition to recall Dist 5. Hang in there Mermaid. Someone at the meeting told me the minion is the secretary for the HPP law firm handling the employee lawsuit.
The president is too incompetent to chair a meeting so no wonder he was a no show. How long can this jack ass keep up the charade? He pales in comparison to the removed president Leslie Blythe.
I commend the committees for trying to make our community come together. The Bylaw Committee gave lots of information and were asking for the members help. They said the board road blocked the bylaw ballots we voted for several months ago. They handed out information. One was the ballot we're waiting to get. I also got a forensic analysis handout that we didn't get to vote on because no quorum.
The Day Lum lady said with the money HPP generates a year they should be able to put asphalt on one road a year at least and if we can't, we have some real problems. She gave hand outs with good information. The new VP tried to stop her from talking but the members voted to hear her. Good deal we did. That's the right way to go. Creely District 6 guy and his wife are against the mailbox committee. She hung posters in opposition. District 6 that's how your director stands on mailboxes. I thought everyone would support for more mailboxes in HPP.

Tomorrow on Halloween there is an event being held at the Activity Ctr from 5-7 PM. There will be fun and games for HPP keikis.
Please attend if you can. This is the first event for HPP keikis in many years and the volunteers from the Halloween in Paradise Committee have been working very hard since July to make this a fun event for the family.
The Conch was supposed to be posted back in September in which this event would've been advertised. The majority board wouldn't approve The Conch so it could be posted on the HPP website, so there you go.....sorry for the late notice.

Shows you what kind of people they are Leo and all. They would rather destroy all our chances of getting mail boxes than to work for the betterment of the community. I judge people by their actions and why anyone would rather associate with the nasty vileness instead of the good always blows me away. Things were not this way a mere 4 years ago. So, you have to look at who was here then and who is now. Says it all.I wasn't there but heard enough. The Pres. is a puppet and happily so.And where was the GM? He is always suppose to attend the membership meetings. Must have had a written excuse. The as predicted, the lecture from the Treasurer yet again. My friend gets a kick out of it because she seems to feel the need to tell everyone over and over that she is smart. Only insecure people have the need to say things like this repeatedly. If she was so smart, she would see how things were and are and how the members are not happy, the staff is mean and abusive and the roads are disgusting but she is so smart she must see a rainbow through the pot holes and upset member and incompetence that abounds. Wow.. just think if we could only be as smart as her how watching HPP fall apart wouldn't matter. The comment about Day-Lum's Ms. Cabral speaking is so right on. With the money they pull in, our roads should be in great shape. Hmmm smart board people, what about that?

Why not get rid of the districts altogether and have The whole subdivision vote on every member of the board?
