My point is that there exists hundreds of peer reviewed scientific papers that prove(?) that the earth was warmer 1000 years ago than it is now. Care to argue that point? Care to argue with this nice lady?

If you know the Daily mail is a joke, then why do you quote it?

Imagine we found out that something we were doing was causing the Earth to heat up more and more and more.
Would you say "Let's try to do something about this!" or "Hey, it was warmer 1000 years ago, don't worry!".

I would say maybe carbon is NOT the most important variable here. I would say maybe there are hundreds of other variables. I would say if carbon is the most important factor, why was it warmer 1000 years ago than it is now?

I would ask lots of questions. I would not, however simply repeat over simplified statements about studies without even reading them or asking questions.

Your link from researchgate has nothing to do with weather, it discusses solar proton radiation.

Your second link is for Joanne Nova, who has no training in climate science. She worked on the Austrailian version of Fox News, a children’s tv show, and is not considered credible by legitimate, trained scientists. She does however make a lot of money off her website hawking survivalist gold doubloons and selling books to climate skeptics. She plays Twister with scientific research to align with the beliefs of her customer base.

In an attempt to keep this thread focused on Hawaii, riversnout, would you please try and find links for Hawaii based climate studies? Thank you.

Scientists have already asked many questions about climate change, after all, that is what scientists do. Then they spend their time answering them. What they don't do is say there are hundreds of variables without saying what they are.

You may or may not know that scientists in Hawaii, using data from the observatories on Mauna Loa play an important role in our understanding of the role of CO2 and other greenhouse gases that contribute to the warming of the atmosphere and am wondering what questions you have asked them and what your criticisms of their research are?
