SA has more details about this plague ship.
http://archive.is/7il9f
- Grand Princess cruise from San Francisco to Mexico from Feb. 11 to Feb. 21, which did not stop in Hawaii.
-Two passengers on that cruise have since tested positive, and one has died
- Same ship was later used for another cruise that docked on Kauai, Oahu, Maui and the Big Island from Feb. 26 to Feb. 29, and included 54 passengers who were also on the earlier cruise.
- A crew member who fell ill on the Hawaii leg was admitted to Hilo Medical Center but tested negative Tuesday for COVID-19
- Another individual is sick and is being quarantined on the ship, which is now headed back to San Francisco, its port of origin. That individual will likely be tested upon arrival by San Francisco health authorities working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Hawaii health officials said. They noted that other ill passengers on the cruise ship have tested positive for the flu, which has similar symptoms as COVID-19.

PS - Thanks Terracore!

Yikes - a couple people livestreamed a few hours ago from the Grand Princess about the situation - not sounding too healthy!

There are actually 2 buses running to Walmart.
Cuts down on the wait time.

They are the largest tour buses on the island !

Isn't this just great, tourist can't get enough of the Big Island during a time of a global outbreak when sensible people stay at home and wash their hands. Vacation rentals here are on the upswing as well. I don't get it.

International tourist trips to the islands does seem to be going down, but I also wonder if people elsewhere might see Hawaii as a safe place to visit since it's so isolated in the middle of the Pacific. They may not comprehend that so many people from all over the world visit the islands so has the potential for being a hotspot if and when the virus gets here - or is already here.

If you are buying masks then you are part of the problem, not the solution.

"a time of a global outbreak when sensible people stay at home and wash their hands"
I will wash my hands but I won't stay at home. A global financial collapse would be worse than a virus.

So masks don’t protect against spread of infectious disease unless you are a healthcare worker? Cognitive dissonance much?

It would be more appropriate to clearly explain there is a shortage of masks for healthcare workers and ask for donations than to falsely imply the masks are ineffective in one sentence then reverse and claim they are effective in the next. Don’t bother with reading comprehension just trust your masters word blindly.
