"Authorities advise people to stay 1-2 metres apart, but researchers found that a bus passenger infected fellow travellers sitting 4.5 metres away."

I'd avoid flying altogether. or riding the bus.

It could be coming to your town soon.
It's already here. Given our many daily flights to Japan, South Korea, and the West Coast for the last couple months, the chances of it not being here already are practically zero. We just haven't found the ill individuals yet, but by the time we do, there will already be 100 people infected for each case we know about and containment will be impossible. Look at Washington and Italy to see where we are headed and make preparations.

It's very heartening that you can read between the lines and see the implications.

Was a Democrat until gun control became a knee jerk, then a Republican until the crazies took over, back to being a nonpartisan again.
This time, I can no longer participate in the primary.

Given the situation unfolding in Italy (mass quarantines, closing of all schools, cancellation of all sporting events, prison riots and escapes, etc) the time for sly references and innuendo is past.
This isn't 2009 Swine flu or 2003 SARS or anything that's been seen for 100 years. This is shaping up to be a world altering event - if you want to see what comes after, you should be paying attention and making plans now.

This story says that one infected person on flight from London to Hanoi passed it on to seven others.

From all reports it sounds highly contagious. Hopefully no long-term effects, since it seems inevitable we'll all get it.

Take with a grain of salt given the source and the MANY unknowns going on, but there may be some possible impacts for male fertility and long term lung function.

Ah, so it *is* a genetically modified virus designed to curb the world population...
