Wuhan Corona Virus Coming Soon? (Now Here)
knieft - That you are cherry picking. Not just links, but quotes from links.

Here's Fox News talking about the IHME revisions from yesterday, and some related criticisms. Not going to pull any quotes, so everyone can read the whole article for themselves.

And just to make sure nothing is missed, here is the complete reading list of related info. Don't want to "cherry-pick" any one source, so make sure to read these 9 million (and growing) articles before commenting.

Here's some bad news:

https://en.yna.co.kr/view/AEN20200417006800320

"Coronavirus relapse cases continue to rise in S. Korea"

Some people who have "recovered" are getting sick again.

And some bad news for Kona:

https://www.staradvertiser.com/2020/04/1...574-up-21/

"Hawaii Department of Health officials said today that the state’s tally of coronavirus cases has risen to 574, up 21 from Friday, with most new cases on the Big Island."

Apparently the great majority of the 21 new cases in the state reported today were from the Kona McDonald's cluster. By far the worst day so far for the Big Island with a jump of 17, but at least they claim to be doing quarantine and contact tracing.

Well, if eating take out is really as safe as they say this will run its course. Imagine if it isn't. If there's any proof of covid having been passed through a pickup window..

I wonder what those odds are?

For ME, the idea of going through a drive through and taking food from underpaid workers who had touched the food to prepare, wrap, and place it in a bag, and then touching the same wrappers and food and stuffing directly into my mouth seems like a poor choice. But that's just me.

Test results are pending for this family who were in isolation for 2.5 weeks before making a Costco and McDonalds run and coming down sick a few days later on the same day the cluster was first was discovered.

I did some searches, and there seems to be no hard evidence of anyone getting corona virus from food, but none of these reports were scientific studies, and nearly all had the caveat of "when proper hygiene and food safety practices are in place." That last bit can be tenuous even in the best of times, so I'm taking a cue from ironyak on this one. No takeout for the Frau and me.

Wow, if that turns out to be true, that is such a game changer. Everything, all the fragile parts holding us together; our obviously incompetent DOH, our lackluster governor, and good ol' head in the sand Harry, the entire narrative they've constructed, and our clinging to the hope this ends soon, all go up in smoke.

Was tested and came back negative and now they have been tested again but they still don't meet the requirements for testing because their symptoms are wrong.

None of the multiple employees that Anger remembered interacting with or who he observed doing their jobs were wearing masks. Some had gloves, he said, while others didn’t.

“The person who took our credit car had gloves, no mask,” Anger said. “We expected them to be in masks. They were only doing drive-thru. Every one of their customers seemed to have a mask.

How could he interact with multiple employees at a drive thru ??

Fishing for a big payout !

Ah.. thee ol' to wear a mask or not to wear a mask argument rears up again. This time, in the guise of happy meals!

I so miss Bernard Akana.

How do they put the lids on your soda? And how many people are sitting in their cars wiping off their lids and boxes with hand sanitizer and napkins before digging in? And who assembled the sandwiches, and do they leave the kitchen to wash their hands every time they itch their nose?

However small the odds, McDonald's serves a lot of customers in a week...
