Driveway in building plans?

What some have done is just do a "driveway apron" (in fact as John Rabi can attest to - Leilani requires a driveway apron).

Cat, you would be surprised, but most people (including real estate agents!) don't even know that Leilani Avenue is a County road. The LE CC&Rs require a 12X10 concrete or asphalt apron. Lots accessed from Leilani Avenue have to conform to the County specifications.
I have to be honest, I didn't even know about this until my GC started to make the driveway at my house there and, low and behold, the County Building Inspector drove by! He red-flagged us right away and I had to get the permit for the driveway. It was easy from there on, in fact, they didn't even come out to check it as far as I know.

Thanks again to everyone who responded. Actually my draftsperson did put a driveway in initially but we submitted the plan without it based thinking it wasn't required for others, but that's apparently not the case.

It is Smelker actually.

Concrete! Concrete! Concrete! Jeez, I'm new at this ok? Smile

Rob no big deal and I’m not wise ass, just in the business.
Furthermore, lumber isn’t “Wood”. I’ve been known to make that correction also.
