LCROSS Lunar Impact in Hawaii
#1
The impact will not really be in in Hawaii, but on the moon. Hawaii will have a number of programs for this on Thurs. night- Friday morning, Oct. 9 & Imiloa in Hilo will have a sleepover that will highlight the impact at 1:30 am HST Friday Morning - Oct 9.

Went to Andy Chaikens talk at Imiloa & found out all of this neat stuff happening right here:

If you have a 12" or larger telescope, you may be able to see the impact, or come on down to the Imiloa planetarium (there is a charge for the sleepover, - includes breakfast - & meet 2 real astronauts) Or up onto Mauna Kea (It is FREEZING there at night!)
