#1
Here is a printable poster of when to plant what here in Hawaii. As well as the general growing seasons of most of the stuff talked about on Punaweb.

Hawaii Seasonality Chart

You can thank me later Correct me... as I don't really know much about growing things [Wink]

That's a nice poster but it indicates when the produce is more readily available in stores rather than when to plant them. I suppose if you know the germination times and the time it takes for the various produce to mature you could subtract the time from when the poster shows. It is a nice poster though and helpful. Thanks for sharing.

Another way to use the chart is if you are looking to make a little extra money by growing things for sale (or swap) out of season, it is a good guideline as to when to try to bring your fruits or vegetables into production. Most tree fruits bear when it is the season for that variety, but there are ways known and being developed to modify harvest time to at least some extent.

Thanks for the corrections guys.

I was running out the door for the Puna Bon Dance when I posted it.

As I was at the Bon Dance, I re-thought the post, and yes it is just showing when it's available.

I forgot about the actual growing time it takes to get to market[Big Grin]

I would think that by using this chart.... you could also figure out when the best time to plant things would be... but I guess you can't really figure that out unless you know the growth times of each thing listed.[^]
