Commercial dog food- a question for dog lovers
#21
Take a look at Nutro Ultra adult. It was selected by an emergency services unit for their dogs after a study. It's a commercial brand which means it's available in most places like the large retail pet supply and smaller pet shops, although seldom in grocery stores or discount retailers like WalF*rt. It's a brand that has a loyal following so the stock rotates enough to prevent old food on the shelf syndrome a problem they discovered with some of the fancier brands. The price is not as high as special boutique brands although more than some dog food. The content met their specific nutritional requirements. It lacked all the fluff ingredients like corn and such. Their vets rated it as above average and they believed for the price restrictions, they wouldn’t find better quality. Overall their study placed it at the top for quality, availability and at a price just over mass market commercial foods and with enough availability lacking in the special boutique labeled foods.

Here's the website:

Oh and don't get thrown by the "holistic" label, if that's not your thing, it's not some touchy feely earthy food, it's just a very natural commercial brand.

Domestic or wild? Wild turkey is out of season!
