Rob,
Just last night, an hour after the walk-thru while we were at the Public Meeting, Teri's lessees' cattle broke through her fencing right onto where we all were walking. Three large cattle had to be chased back into Teri's land by a Kaniho family friend. Maybe if the public stared down a large cow x 3, frantic because they weren't in their usual place, the gate being closed wouldn't sound like such a bad idea.
Also, there was another cattle/car collision early this morning on the way to Pahala. When you live & work in cattle country, it's something you have to watch out for.
