Oink, well said.
hawaiideborah, It remains to be seen if the numbers you site will hold up over time, if not morale, retention and recruitment rates may go down and I just started my 28th year of military service, thank you for asking.
I'm not sure what you would like me to fess up to I am merly looking to discuss an important current affairs issue.
As I mentioned earlier, because of the repeal and its current status numerous new rules, regulations and scenarios are being discussed and crafted now, to be in place when the order comes down. I can assure you of that. One of them is the one I focused on with this post.
mauka, I hear your point and understand your feelings but with all due respect sir, this is not just about you. What about all of the people who may have a sincere but different view of things?
Question mauka, If a happily married man that you knew had no desires for another woman asked to be placed in a berthing area with all women, even though he had no intentions of doing anything, would you be ok with that? That would never happen in the military because the women would be uncomfortable even without physical contact. Would not the same hold true for a gay man berthed with 30 other heterosexual males? Would they not be allowed to have those same feelings?
And hawaiideborah, in over 27 years in the military I have never had to answer an anonymously given set of questions regarding all types of scenarios of homosexuality in the military,.....I guess there is always tomorrow (are you sure that’s not the Canadian military).
