I really don't think you are going to be able to get rid of them yourself. If you leave just one cockroach (or one egg) after cleaning the SUV, the population will come roaring back.
I'd call an exterminator. I'll bet you are not the first to call about such a problem. They have de kine spray that will kill them. The stuff you get at HD often just won't do the job.
