Like Carey said, avocados can fruit any season depending on the variety. As you can see with the following link, there are literally hundreds of varieties.

Right now I have at least six varieties of avocados that I have discovered so far on my property, giving fruit roughly October through May. Two trees were planted in the yard by the previous owners and the rest are growing wild in the jungle. I don't do anything for the jungle avocados and I think they taste way better than the fruit from the two trees in the yard. I did just fertilize the yard trees with some 10-30-10. We'll see if that makes them taste better. I'm sure goat and rabbit manure would be great for them though.
