It was about a month ago when several of our boxes got wiped out and yes I am a totally disabled Vet, and ty for the welcome.
As far as what is going on, I have been given a copy of the last email sent from Honolulu stating what is really going on with the delay...

I’ve not informed anyone to contact your office for a solution, so I’m not sure where you’re getting that from. You’ve copied in Alton, who is the Keaau Postmaster to address this issue with his employees.
Here’s where we’re at right now – we’re not going to install any mail receptacles without a signed Centralized Delivery Agreement. We’re not close to drafting one just yet. If the mail receptacles get replaced with a similar (or 4c type CBU), we would deliver to the exact addresses as were previously located in the NDCBU.
So we’re on the same page of music, the goal is this – Centralized delivery to County assigned address, one mail receptacle for delivery.
The where, and how is going to be the process, and based on the information we have, or lack thereof, this will not be overnight.
The best thing the community can do to help the process is to have their county assigned addresses for mail delivery. This is one of the things that will help determine where “street” delivery will occur.
Alton is going out there today or tomorrow to survey the area.

So the hold up is they want the association to sign a Centralized Delivery Agreement, WHICH THEY HAVE NOT EVEN DRAFTED YET....
