Aloha and mahalo plenty for all the ono comments! Please do not hesitate to call us at 965-7350, Monday--Friday, 8:00 a.m.--5:00 p.m., if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to be of service to our community and aina. BTW, cesspools are still allowed in many areas of the Big Island, and we always send our customers tips on how to maintain a healthy wastewater system. Even if you are not our customer, please feel free to give us a call and we will be happy to send you a copy of DOH's tips. We are very lucky to have an exceptionally professional and helpful Department of Health in Hawaii, and we are dedicated to keeping our groundwater and CWDA (critical wastewater disposal areas) clean and healthy. Also, some contractors use precast lids for cesspools--in our opinion, this is a very efficient, good way to insure that your cesspool is properly capped, and it also helps to speed up the Approval for Use process. Mahalo and aloha!
