Kalakoa, I hold the Board and management of the HPPOA in pretty low regard, but they have a very tightly constructed contract with a Belgian bank that limits the use of the bond money to road paving. The HPPOA would have a very hard time repurposing the bond money since they can't legislate contract law to suit themselves.
Rainshadow, only three or four of the nine districts had elections this year due to staggered terms. If you were not in a district with a race, you would not have received a ballot. Meanwhile, some of the more responsible BOD members (yes, there are a few) are now questioning the way the election was handled. Hopefully, they will be able to do something about the outrageous conflict of interest involved in having a candidate be the sole contact with the neutral body counting the votes. Why this only occurred to anyone after the fact is yet another example of the BOD's lack of oversight and good sense.
