Unoccupied homes always get hit. Putting plywood on the place is like putting a sign saying "I'm gone come rip me off"
I worked on a house in Hpp that had been ripped. The H.O. boarded up the place. The rippers pulled up one sheet on a blind side of the house and left it on. Going in and out like a pet door. The HO had a trailer and lots of expensive tools. They loaded up the trailer and took everything that was of any value. He had a safe mounted in the wall. They ripped it out. Took fixtures even. The H.O. never told any of the neighbors he was leaving. Never even talked to his neighbors. And this was on Kaloli Pt where there is a good watch program.

One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.
