laser eye surgery on the big island?
#11
I was shopping around for Lasik right before I moved over here in 07. Got to the appt, and offhandedly mentioned I was moving to Hawaii in two weeks. The doc said I'm not allowed to fly for a month, or swim/dive, or go above a couple thousand feet sea level following the surgery. I also would have to come back after a month for checkup, then again at 3 months. So I skipped the lasik Smile I didn't research if his opinion was industry standard. Be sure to ask if it's ok to fly, swim, etc. Doc said it was an issue of change in pressure could damage the surgery results.
