I haven't had a chance to join up with the Plein Air Artists of Hawaii Island, but thought I would post this website for anyone who might want to make art outside:

The East Side group meets at a different site around Hilo every Thursday. There is also a group on the other side of the island.
This is a blurb about the group that meets at Ahalanui:
AHALANUI WARM PONDS/ART DAY- Every Friday at 9 am. for 15 yrs. now, painters, friends, & artists gather for a day of painting & aloha. Ahalanui Warm Ponds just off the Red Road in Kalapana, between Pohoiki & Kapoho.
In both groups, people come and go as they wish. You can stay the whole day or just for an hour - up to you.
