Avocado tree strength???

In the yard of the home we purchased is a very large Avocado tree. The people we purchased from said it did not produce very good avos. It is a beautiful tree and provides nice shade. My question is the strength of the wood. Would a Avocado tree be strong enough to support a tree house?
