I have a few (used to be) extremely nice, leather laptop cases. Leather is absolutely worthless here.
use craigslist - Kona and Waikoloa areas are the best for finding almost new island style furniture. The rich folk re-decorate all the time. I have some stunning Koa wood and rattan pieces, purchased for a fraction of new cost.
You are already buying a house? I hope you checked out the area at all hours of the day and night - wouldn't want to be near a party rooster, ya know? [
