Point taken, my apologies. You are correct, I should have used our/we.

You are also correct in that where our electrical power comes from and how best to produce it is a complicated issue - there are, however, a few simple realities that are too often ignored. One of them is that our current mode of producing the majority of the electrical power on the island - fossil fuels - generates 100 to 1000 times more air emissions per unit of power generated than does the Puna geothermal plant and those emissions are no less threatening to the environment and to human health than those from the Puna plant.
